  • Good Morning, Plato!
  • Well Hello Aristotle, what a beautiful morning. I would like to hold a meeting with you this afternoon to update me on the performance of the students and the ways in which you are teaching.
  • Good afternoon, is it time for our meeting?
  • Indeed it is. The meeting shouldn't take very long.
  • I just want to personally welcome you to the teaching staff here at my academy. I know that when you were a student, you didn't agree with the ways in which you were being taught, but I ask that you keep an open mind and teach the students the ways in which the other teachers and I believe is correct.
  • After 20 years of being enrolled as a student at Plato's academy, Aristotle is beginning his position of becoming a teacher. Since Aristotle was such an exceptional student throughout the time he was studying at the academy.
  • Thanks! I'm very excited to start my career as a teacher. As you know I have a few ideas of my own and I've been doing some of my own research that I would like to hear your thoughts on in regards to communication. If it's alright with you, I would love to add some of this to my curriculum.
  • I will listen to your ideas, but I am not sure if I will allow you to teach your findings.
  • Plato is intrigued to find out Aristotle's thoughts with becoming a part of his faculty and needs to present the ideas for his curriculum that he will continue to teach for the future.
  • Okay, well here are a few of the things I have observed over my years of schooling.
  • Plato believes that Aristotle should...
  • I have concluded then when communicating with others, there are three key elements to making your argument believable.
  • Aristotle believes learning through observation, while Plato used reasoning to reach a conclusion.
  • Aristotle begins to describe his findings on communication which he would later write in his book Rhetoric.
