Call to Adventure: Water Jar Boy is subject to enduring his different from all of the normal children; he desires to break free from his jar to fit in.
Meeting With the Mentor: Upon speaking with his grandfather, Water Jar Boy is challenged; his grandfather tells him that he cannot hunt, as he doesn't have arms or legs.
Crossing the First Threshold: The first part of the journey is completed once the water jar breaks; he cannot go back once it is broken.
Tests, Allies, and Enemies(Test): Water Jar Boy's grandfather does not believe him when he says that he is the boy who once lived in a jar. This shows that Water Jar Boy now has to face the obstacle of being unrecognized.
Approach to the Inmost Cave: Water Jar Boy must go to the spring to meet his father. This could end in catastrophe for him as his father could be anyone.
Reward - Seizing the Prize: Water Jar Boy meets his father at the end of his journey.
