  • From the perspective of the US the Louisiana Purchase was significant because the gain of that much land and the Mississippi River made the economy and trading better because of the extra resources. From the perspective of the French the Louisiana Purchase was significant because if they didn’t sell the land, they could have had a better economy and potentially owned most of the current US because they had a very good position with the control of the Mississippi River.

  • From the perspective of the Cherokee the Trail of Tears was significant because it made a more Cherokee mad at the white man because of the forceful break ins and kicking them out more of the Natives started wanting the white men gone instead of wanting peace. From the perspective of the US the Trail of Tears was significant because it made US citizens think that the Native Americans were bad and that they need to be kicked out of the country.

  • From the perspective of the Mexicans the battle of the Alamo was significant because it encouraged them to keep fighting even though they were going to lose the war this win helped them to keep fighting. From the perspective of the US the Battle of the Alamo was significant because it inspired the Texans to join the army because of how cruel the Mexicans were being in the battle and the whole war.

  • From the perspective of the US the battle in Monterrey was significant because it showed the US that they could beat the Mexicans even if they had 1/4 the amount of troops. From the perspective of the Mexicans the battle in Monterrey was significant because losing the key city was bad because when they went with 20,000 men to fight 5,000 they still lost.
  • From the perspective of Native Americans the Oregon trail was a bad thing because they had already moved west and then the US came on the Oregon Trail to kick the Natives out of the land that they owned. From the perspective of the US the Oregon trail was significant because even though they made it to Oregon and gained the land many people died.
  • From the perspective of the US the Massacre at Wounded Knee was significant because it allowed for them to gain land and kick out the Native Americans, which is what they wanted to do. From the perspective of the Souix the massacre at Wounded Knee was significant because a lot of them died and the US got awarded for that so it made them realize the US was bad
