Never consume food that has been left out for more than two hours in the danger zone. Bacteria grows very quickly in this temperature and drastically increases the chance of having a food born virus. Many food borne viruses could be prevented by simply discarding foods that have been in the danger zone for too long. Although discarding food can be seen as a waste, consumption is not safe. Food should be kept warm enough for consumption or chilled enough to slow growth of bacteria.
