Banquo and Fleance ride towards their castle. Once they reach the doors they dismount. Banquo lights a torch, and the three murders show up.

The murders attack Banquo. His dying breath he urges Fleance to flee and avenge his death. The three murders extinguish the torch, and Fleance escapes in the darkness.

Macbeth hosts a dinner at his castle. The three murders show up and Macbeth excuses himself. Lady Macbeth a little annoyed, but does not stop him.
The three murders and Macbeth discuss what happened. They say that Banquo is dead, however his son escaped. Macbeth is furious he could not stop the prophecy, and realizes the throne is still at jeopardy.
