August 17, 1747 New Marblehead Mass: William Bolten is Captured
I missed my mark!
Can me scalp him?
Non, il est trop précieux, (he is too valuable).
William Bolten on the Way to Canada
We still in Massachusetts, about hundred miles, stop asking.
We there yet?
William Bolten is sold
Frotter les ponts immédiatement, (scrub the decks immediately).
Thank you for saving me.
William Bolten was about 1/4 of a mile south of the Province Fort (geography) when he was captured by a group of 30 Indians and French Soldiers (history and government), William Maxwell who was with him escaped.
The French ship is taken over by the English
Bolton was brought to Canada (geography) by foot to be sold as a servant to the French.
Bolten is asked to make tea for the British Lieutenant
Eh Bolten, can ye make me a nice cuppa tea?
Bolton is sold to a french navel officer as a servant and used on the ship immediately, this was a large economic factor for the Native Americans.
The Lieutenant sees the mess
This tea is ruined. Tie that idiotic rascal Bolten to the mast and whip him.
Bolton is saved when the French ship is captured by the English (government and history) off the coast of New England which hopefully means he may go home.
Lieutenant Wallace asks Bolten to make him a cup of tea (culture), unfortunately being a country boy from the northernmost colony he didn't know how to. Confused, Bolten throws the entire brick of tea into the hot water.
Of course sir.
The Lieutenant angrily sees the teapot has exploded due to the fact that Bolton had unknowingly thrown a whole brick of tea in. The Lieutenant thinking it was a joke decides that Bolton should be whipped.
