My name is Yojanus. This is my home in a village known as Mohenjo-Daro in India. It is very peaceful here. Usually just my family, a few friends, and my cousins. But lately more people have been coming in.
Yojannus! Lunch is Ready!
Well, I got to go. See you later!
We build Houses upon houses. The government wants our house to look like his too, but we were one of the first people here. We love our house.
This is where basically everyone else lives. My cousins, my friends, and the rest of the villagers. I love it here because we have fresh water from the Indus River for bathing, drinking, and gardening.
This is The Great Bath. It's where we hold our town's Religious Ceremonies, and Purifacation. It's Kind of like how Catholics get baptized.
See this tray I'm standing on? This is a shower tray. You take this bucket and fill it up with water. To clean yourself, you just pour it over yourself. (I can't do it right now because I'm Wearing clothes.) This drain connected to the tray Takes the dirty water away into the swamp.
The last thing I need to show you is this clay. You can pick it up and mold it into whatever shape you want. You can carve words into it with a stick. When it dries it is called a seal. You can Trade objects and use this like a price tag. Oh my! It's already sunset. I better get home. My mom, dad, and sister Kiesha are probably waiting! We have to bless our food and eat dinner. See ya!
Please bless this food. Help us to grow closer as a family. Amen.
