Esme: Hello fellow and upcoming students, you are in for a nice treat because you my friend, are going to have a great time in this school. M&M: Yep! There are so many things you can do in Energy. Like PBL Projects!
Esme: OH YEAH! PBL Projects are really interesting and exciting! The subject you do the project on are worth learning.
M&M: "Teamwork makes the dream work" as people say. When PBL projects are assigned, you must treat and trust each other as a unit. Esme: That's right. You have to be able to form a great relationship with your team, because there will be A LOT of group projects. Get to know everyone in your team and LEARN ON!
Esme: Let’s talk projects, we worked on several projects in the past like: Buffalo Bayou Bins for example. That project was discussed to help clear out Buffalo Bayou’s trash. We had to use recycled materials and make a filter to help clear out trash in the water. M&M: This project involved us to come together and make up a handmade filter. Many of the projects are going to be like this.
M&M:At the orientation for the school, you have to pay a fee to be able to get your school laptop. We use laptops for MOST of our school assignments for classes. Esme: I hope you know the basics of working a computer, because if you don’t YOU ARE SCREWED.
Esme: We take various field trips to several places at random times. We have taken field trips to the ‘Natural Science Museum’ and to the Buffalo Bayou. M&M: Be ready to go to lots of places and have fun doing it
