  • Someone proposed a great idea. Fracking should be banned!

  • First, someone writes to their local representative to introduce their idea.
  • Step 4
  • Second, the idea gets introduced to either the Senate or the house of representatives.
  • Step 5
  • Third, the bill gets discussed upon both of the two houses the lower and the upper, and they amend the bill if needed, and they go over it.
  • But before the president gets to decide, the whole entire process has to be repeated again.
  •  Finally, the president can make the decision to accept the bill and turn it into a law. He can veto the bill and it will be rejected. Congress can override the veto with a 2/3 vote. He could even say nothing! If the president doesn't respond within 10 days, it automatically becomes a law. lastly, he can pocket veto the bill.
