Storyboard Text

  • My own house was an eye-sore, but it was a small eye-sore, and it had been overlooked... squeezed between two large places..
  • The one on my right was a colossal affair by any standard.. with a tower on one side, spanking new under a thin beard of raw ivy... It was Gatsby's Mansion.
  • Now he was a sturdy, straw-haired man of thirty with a rather hard mouth and a supercilious manner. "I've got a nice place here," He (Tom) said, his eyes flashing about restlessly.
  • "I've got a nice place here."
  • The only completely stationary object in the room was an enormous couch which two young women were buoyed up as though upon an anchored balloon. (Daisy and Miss Jordan Baker)
  • "Do they miss me?"
  • Miss Baker and I exchanged a short glance consciously devoid of meaning.. "Is something happening?" I inquired innocently. "You mean you don't know?" said Miss Baker, honestly surprised. "I thought everybody knew."
  • "I Don't"
  • "Why-- Tom's got some woman in new york."
  • "I will. Goodnight, Mr. Carraway. See you anon.
  • "Goodnight. Wake me up at eight, wont you?"
  • "If you'll get up."
