Aeetes tells his daughter Medea that he has no intention of giving the fleece to Jason "The king went back to the palace planning treachery against the heroes and vowing they should never have the Golden Fleece. " (Hamilton 131)
I don't intend on giving Jason The Golden Fleece.
Medea takes the information to Jason and proposes they go take the fleece themselves. " They must get the fleece at once, she told them, and then make all haste away or they would be killed." (Hamilton 131)
Jason my father isn't planning on giving you the Fleece. We should go take it ourselves.
Jason and Medea take the fleece by putting the monster to sleep with a sleeping potion. "Swiftly Jason lifted the golden wonder from the tree it hung on, and hurrying back they reached the ship as dawn was breaking." (Hamilton 131)
Jason and Medea return to Greece and Jason ends up marrying another women. " And then Jason showed the meanness that was in him, ... he engaged himself to marry the daughter of king Corinth." (Hamilton 133)
Thank you for your help but me and my new princess are getting married.
