He scanned the environment, the floor was covered by the corpses of the people he knew, puddles of blood poured out of wounds that marked where limbs used to be. No... he was only out for thirty minutes, and he comes back to this? What kind of monster would do this? He felt an urge to vomit, but kept it all in. Dark clouds covered a happy sun, heavy rain poured down on streets he once called home. He gasped as he saw the body of his mother, she was dead still, covered in both rough wounds and clean cuts alike, seeping out blood. Her arm was missing, and her innards were visible, dis-positioned from where they were meant to be. The man couldn't even tell if they were even hers. He froze as he heard another person's faint scream in the distance, he felt the killer's powerful presence still there, waiting for it's next prey. It was nearing, he couldn't move. His mouth opened to scream but nothing came out. It was coming, it... was a white lizard. It examined the man as it let out some tittering noises. He wanted to run but his legs felt heavy, he was having trouble breathing. He was struck out of something like fear, but at the same time doubt and insanity. This small, white lizard, did it really kill all these people? He chuckled, as he realised how crazy he was. He grasped his head as he broke into maniacal laughter. What the hell is this? Why would I be dreaming up something like this? Am I insane? I don't care, I've now embraced it. I've embraced it all. Who cares? WHO CARES?! The man questioned himself, in midst of laughter, he didn't know what was real or not, but who cared? His bloodshot eyes peeked out of their sockets, as he howled with laughter, ridiculing himself, ridiculing the bodies, ridiculing the blood. WHO CARED?!
He felt his shoulder held by a cold grasp. He stopped laughing. Between claws, he felt the bones in his shoulder quickly snap, his arm was cut off, blood spurted out of his new wound like a jet. The same went for his other arm, it fell off easily. He felt his head being pulled back by the hair, his neck started to cut open slowly. Crimson red started to impair his vision gradually, as the wound on his neck started to open more and more. Before it all turned to red, he saw the lizard for the final time, gazing down on him.
