The skies were dark and gloomy, lightning cracks on the sky as it was about to rain. Kuroo was sitting by his window, when he noticed the approaching rain. He remembered Kenma, his childhood friend, who was afraid of thunderstorms. He grabbed his phone and decided to check up on him.
Shh. Don’t cry. I’m here.”
Kenma said he was fine but Kuroo wasn’t convinced. He became more worried as the rain started to pour and lightning strikes more vividly. Kenma didn't reply to him so he ran downstairs and immediately went to Kenma's house.
Let’s move to the bed, hmm?
He immediately ran towards Kenma's room. As he entered, the sight of Kenma sitting on the corner of his room while crying welcomed him.
Sleep now, I'm just here.
Kuroo tried to console Kenma. “K-kuroo.” Kenma said between his sobs. “Hmm?” Kuroo asked. “I-I don’t wanna be alone right now.” Kenma answered, slightly struggling as he was still sobbing. “I’m here, you’re not alone.”
He looked at Kenma who stopped crying and invited him to lay on the younger's bed. It was night time and Kenma should be resting, Kuroo thought.
Kuroo patted Kenma's head, as he watches him sleep. Kenma later on closed his eyes and started to fall asleep. Kuroo just watched him until he fell deep asleep.
