Storyboard Description

To begin with, Three Skeletons Key starts off with the reason on why it got such a strange name. Then, the story goes to present time at the island when three men that are working at a lighthouse see a boat coming straight at the them. One of the men, Le Gleo, is supper confused on why the boat is going straight at them. He wonders if there is a crew aboard or if the crew is drunk, but then assumes it is the Flying Dutchman. Right when they think the boat is turning away, it turns around showing giant sea rats coming straight at them from the boat. These rats aren't just any ordinary rats, they are huge, hungry, and vicious rats. So, the three men run for their lives straight to the lighthouse. Finally, they get in safely and lock all the doors and windows, and to their shock the rats were surrounding the whole lighthouse.

Storyboard Text

  • Man. Food would have been nice!
  • THREE SKELETON KEYS
  • Current Day On The Island....
  • Why is that boat coming straight at us?
  • Wait a minute what are those little critters on it?
  • Could it be the FLYING DUTCHMAN??
  • It earned its name from the story of three convicts who, escaping from Cayenne in a stolen dugout canoe, were wrecked during the night, managed to escape the sea, but eventually died of hunger and thirst.
  •  AHH! RUN!!! It's the giant rats! And they are hungry!
  • "What's wrong with her crew? Are they all drunk or insane Can't they see us? Itchoua nodded soberly and looked at us sharply as he remarked: "See us? No doubt- if there is a crew aboard."
  • Close all the windows so the rats do not get in!
  • "Are you saying she is the Flying Dutchman?"  His sudden fright had been so evident that the older man laughed.
  • "The rats!" Now we knew why this ship, in perfect condition, was sailing without her crew board.
  • There came a scream, composed of innumerable screams, sharper than the howl of a saw attacking a bar of iron, and in the one motion, every rat leaped to attack the tower.
  • We barely had time to leap back, close the door leading onto the gallery, descend the stairs, and shut every window tightly
