You may be asking yourself, how was the moon created? Well, there is a theory that scientists have. It is called the Giant Impact Theory. It was when a mars-sized planet collided with Earth to fling small pieces of material which collided and made the moon.
The moon was created 4.5 billion years ago and it is almost as old as the solar system. In fact it is only 100 million years younger than the solar system.
Revolution and rotation are much different than each other. Revolution is when something is going around another object. Rotation is when something spins in a circle but stays in the same spot.
The moon is about 4.5 billion years old.
The Moon characteristics from Earth make it look like the Moon has a glow of light from it, like the sun. It looks like this because the sun reflects light off the Moon.
The Moon has many craters on it. You can even see some of the craters from Earth.
