  • Hmm...What ARE the Newton's Laws?
  • Why don't I show you.
  • The Second law is how to calculate force. It is Force= Mass x Acceleration, or FMA
  • There are three basic laws of Newton
  • So the ball won't move unless something moves it.
  • There first law is the law of inertia, which is that objects that are in motion or in rest, it will stay that way unless acted upon by an outside force, for example, this rock.
  • So if the ball has a mass of 3.5 grams, & I kick it like so at a rate of 4.8 m/s, then the force would be 16.8 newtons
  • Very good. Now the final Law is very important. The Action-Reaction Law. It states that every action has an equal & opposite reaction
  • So that's why the ball bounces when it lands on the ground. It's reacting to the force of itself hitting the ground.
