We should help the French because they helped us
We will not help anybody in the war
No we should help the British because we need them to keep trading
Hamilton made a plan to assume state debt and establish a national bank. The 3 steps of his plan were to pay off all war debt, raise governments revenues then Create a national bank. Thomas Jefferson did not like this plan because he thought that Alexander Hamilton would have too much power.
About 20 years after the revolutionary war taxes were an issue in 1792 the government put a tax on tea and the people did not like it so they rebelled and George Washington decided to bring in the militia men and by the time they got there most of the rebels were gone.
The french and the British were going to war and they both wanted the United States to help them Thomas Jefferson wanted us to help the french because they helped us and they were fighting for the same thing but Alexander Hamilton wanted to help the British because they were our biggest trading partner. Washington decided to help nobody
