Storyboard Text

  • First, a bill most be introduced by a member of congress
  • Then a bill is sent to committees to be debated on.
  • If the bill passes in the committees it is sent to the whole house to be debated.
  • if the bill passes in the house with majority it is then debated by the whole senate just like the house
  • If the bill passes in both houses with majority (51%) then the bill is sent to the desk of the president
  • this is a bill
  • the president can then choose to SIGN THE BILL INTO LAWorVETO the bill
  • if the bill is vetoed it is sent back to Congress for a final vote. if 2/3 of congress vote to pass the bill the veto is overturned
