  • Hoot by Carl Hiaasen is about a kid named Roy who got bullied no matter where he moved. Roy saw a boy that he called the running boy who had no books, no shoes, and no backpack. 
  • Climax
  • The main characters are Roy, Beatrice, mullet fingers. Roy is a boy who had to move to a new school and make new friends but instead he gets bullied. Beatrice is a girl who plays soccer and became Roys best friend. Mullet fingers is Beatrice's step brother and keeps causing trouble.
  • Falling action
  • they tried building a mother Paula's pancake house over all the owl burrows. when Roy found out him and his friends were not happy. Roy gets Beatrice and her soccer team to help stop the mother Paulas pancake hose from being built.
  • Resolution
  • Roy Beatrice and mullet fingers tried stopping them from building the mother Paula's pancake house. to stop them mullet fingers climbs in one of the owl burrows and refuses to move so they cant build mother Paula's pancake house. Roy also gets beatrice and her whole soccer team to hold up signs saying save the owls.
  • Roy Beatrice and mullet fingers stop from mother Paula building her pancake house over the owl burrows. That causes the owl burrows to be safe and no owls were harmed. when roy beatrice and mullet fingers stopped the cunstruction they were happy the owls got to stay in their homes.
  • in the end Roy Beatrice and mullet fingers all saved the owls. the owls got to keep their burrows and they got to live. one lesson this story teaches you is that if you know something is wrong, tell someone so they can save it like Roy Beatrice and mullet fingers did.
