Storyboard Text

  •  In the water, there is a the kelp forest. The kelp makes its own food using the sun's radiant energy to make into chemical energy for fish to eat. This chemical energy in the fish is given to creatures like the Poison Kelp Jellyfish to move and do its daily routines, which is mechanical energy.
  • Meanwhile, above the water at the beach, people travel to the shore in a car. The car uses the gasoline's chemical energy to move (mechanical energy). When they get to the beach, people like to listen to music on the radio, which uses the batteries' chemical energy to make sound energy.
  • At the beach house, people use gas, chemical energy, to grill the food using thermal energy. The chemical energy in the food is eaten by people. They use this energy to later play, mechanical energy, at the beach.
  • It's time to hit the beach! As someone uses the camera's batteries, which uses chemical energy, the camera flashes, using radiant energy. People also grab a fruit smoothie, made with a blender, using electrical energy to plug it in, and mixing it up, using mechanical energy.
  • It's getting late, so everyone gathers near the fire pit. Someone starts the fire with a match, which uses chemical energy, to start the fire (thermal energy). Someone also starts to play their guitar. They strum each note, which uses mechanical energy to move their hand, turns into sound energy to make music!
  • It is now too dark to hang out at the beach, so everyone goes back to the beach house. Everyone continues to hang out on the patio. The lamps, using electric energy, provides the patio with radiant energy. This electric energy also provides thermal energy in the cold night.
