  • I hate the cold
  • I am Skadi Goddess of winter, May I have a coat.
  • Nordja was a cloth dyer in the small, obscure town of Kvie. She is selling her colored cloths at the market with her mother Astrid. The cold weather brings less people to the market.
  • No.
  • Goddess of winter. Ha. You cannot do anything except bring cold.
  • Nordja complains about the cold to her neighbors in the market. She blames the goddess Skadi for the awful winter, unaware that the Goddess hears her words.
  • You insolent fools. Never disrespect the gods of Asgard.
  • Skadi disguised as a beggar confronts Nordja about her words saying that nothing good will come of it. She then asks them for a cloak to shield her from the weather but they refuse.
  • Skadi reveals herself to Astrid and Nordja. She asks them for a cloak again but Astrid refuses and Nordja insults her for the cold.
