  •  The House of Romanov was the second imperial dynasty (after the Rurik dynasty) to rule Russia, They ruled for 300 years. The Romanov family was the imperial dynasty to rule Russia. During the Russian Revolution of 1917, Bolshevik revolutionaries toppled the monarchy, ending the Romanov dynasty. Also During the Romanov reign Russia became and remained a major European power.
