  • Billy Weaver had traveled down from London to Bath by train.
  • A sign in the window made Billy ring the doorbell to check out the place.
  • BED AND BREAKFAST
  • The door opened immediately and startled Billy.
  • What much does the bed and breakfast cost.
  • It costs Five and Sixpence for the bed and breakfast. Your room is ready as well.
  • The old lady walked Billy up to his room and Billy noticed that the bedspread had been taken off the bed and that the bedclothes had been neatly turned back on one side, ready for someone to get in.
  • I've put a water bottle in the sheets to air them out.
  • Thank you.
  • Billy couldn't figure out where he has seen the two names in the log book when he went to sign his name and address.
  • I 'm almost positive I've heard those names before somewhere. Maybe it was in the newspapers.

  • The landlady told Billy to come sit down and drink some tea and when Billy did he forgot about where he heard the two other names that are in the log book at.
  • No thank you. The tea tasted faintly of bitter almonds.
