  • The loyalists had arguments against independence from the patriots which consisted of groups of people like farmers, artisans and shopkeepers which rebelled against british officials did not rebel and stayed loyal to the king. American Loyalists or colonists that rebelled against independence of british rebelled against this because they thought that violence would make them rise to tyranny and they also thought that they would lose all economic rights
