  • The British won this battle at Bunker Hill in 1775 with William howe as the general. "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes! " said by one of Colonel William Prescott, who was the American leader

  • George Washington crossing of the Delaware River north of Trenton the previous night, Washington led the main body of the Continental Army against Hessian soldiers garrisoned at Trenton in 1776
  • camden
  • In 1777 there was no war but George Washington and his man were freezing in the cold hardship during the winter. Many of them died of the because of diseases and starvation. A colonel John Brooks wrote " love of your Country" because the army stayed together.
  • Yorktown
  • In 1777, Americans won this battle thanks to George Roger Clark who said: " If a country is not worth protecting, it is not worth claiming."  The general for the British was Henry Hamilton. This battle gave the Americans a hold on the vast region between The Great Lakes and the Ohio Rvier.
  • In 1780 the British general Lord Cornwallis and Amercian were Francis Marion. The British won this battle because the Americans were in no good condition to fight. A band of Patriots from South Carolina approached Gates and said "Their number did not exceed 20 men and boy, somewhere white and some black, and all mounted, but most of them miserably equipped. 
  • The Americans won this battle which ended the war once and for all. Thanks to the help from Washington
