  • I have 40 pants and 60 shirts. I need the greatest possible pants and shirts to pack. The number of pants and the number of shirts have to be the same. How much pants and shirts do I pack
  • To do this, I have to find the greatest common factor.factors of 60: 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,12,15, 20, 60factors of 40:1,2,4,5,8,10,20
  • The number of shirts and pants I will be packing is 10
  • I know this is GCF(Greatest common factor) because listed all the numbers that you can multiply to find a common one of both 60 and 40
  • I have 30 toothbrushes and 40 toothpaste tubes. I need the number to be the same. I need to find the least number toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes I can have while the number is the same
  • I have to find the least common multiple of 30 and 40.multiples of 30:30, 60, 90, 120multiples of 40:40, 80, 120
  • I know this is the LCM(Least common factor) because I listed all the multiples of 30 and 400 and chose the first common one
  • Since the least common multiple of 30 and 40 is 120, I have to get 120 toothpaste tube and 120 toothbrushes
