  • Cellular respiration is when cells release energy from the chemical bonds of food molecules and provide that energy for the essential processes of life.
  • It´s formula is C6H12O6+6O2--> 6CO2 +6H2O+ATP
  • It is an aerobic process, it requires oxygen. It takes place in the mitochondria.
  • It´s reactants are: Glucose and oxygen, the Products are: Carbon dioxide, water, and ATP
  • The glycolysis needs glucose to make pyruvate´s and ATP. The kreb cycle needs pyruvate´s to make carbon dioxide and ATP. The electron transport needs oxygen to make water
  • Cellular respiration also converts sugar into ATP using oxygen.
