Serria Yount Fever

In the book, Fever 1793, yellow fever caused hundreds of people to die. Mattie’s mother got sick with the fever and told Mattie to leave her. Eliza had called for a doctor and the doctor told Mattie’s grandfather to take her to the ledington’s farm. Mattie and her grandfather had got on a waggon and headed off to the ledington’s farm. They were almost there when some people on horses had stopped them and the people on horses had to check and see if anyone was a fever victim. Mattie and her grandfather got kicked off the waggon and were told to go back. The people on horses thought that grandfather had the fever but he didn’t. Then Mattie had to go find food and water so her and grandfather could eat.Then Mattie got the yellow fever. Mattie needs to listen to her mother and stay safe so she doesn’t get sick with the yellow fever and die. Mother wants her to go to the country and stay safe.
