  • The passenger was on their way to Kumbum, it is nine in the evening when they got into a taxi. The taxi is being driven by someone they know named Doss. Doss is 25 and an obedient driver who occasionally drinks and drives.
  • Climax
  • Doss sees an old man come out of the temple and freaks out. It frightens the passenger when he swerves for no reason. The old man then apparently comes out in front of the car causing Doss to stop driving. 
  • Falling Action
  • Doss gets possessed by the old man. Not knowing what to do the passenger shakes him awake and starts questioning him.
  • Resolution
  • After talking with Doss for a while, he finds out that he(Krishna Battar) is more than five hundred years old. Krishna Battar, the ghost, he built the temple and is scared that if he leaves no one will look after it.
  • The passenger figures out a way to get Doss (Krishna Battar) to move on to the after life. He tells him to think of his wife. By doing so she comes and gets him, causing the real Doss to pass out. The passenger goes to get help.
  • The passenger begins banging on doors violently, but no one comes out until he speaks. The family he gets tells him they thought it was the normal knocking, saying that the knocking doesn't bother anyone but the bullock carts passing the temple. The passenger thinks to himself that the knocking won't happen anymore now that Krishna Battar is gone.
