At age 14 in some states you can buy a gun and that is not right
On January 1, 2009, in the United States stated ¨there were at least 288 school shootings. That's 57 times as many shootings as the other six g7 countries combined (cnn.com).
In 2010, guns took the lives of 31,076 Americans in homicides, suicides and unintentional shootings. This is the equivalent of more than 85 deaths each day and more than three deaths each hour (lawcenter.com).
Some people believe that gun are useful and how we should have them for protection. Also, people use guns for hunting and make a living off hunting. 11 percent of people have hunting as their job
But there is still hope if we change the legal age on when people can buy a gun then maybe it will decrease the amount of gun related deaths. Also when you are under the age of 21 your brain isn't fully developed so if we make the legal age older than hopefully people will make better choices.
