He will grow to be a mighty king or a religious leader.
Then he shall be king!
You need to move. Kings orders.
Siddhartha Gautama was born a prince circa 563 B.C, in Nepal. His father was king, and a fortuneteller told the king that his son would be either a king that would bring everyone together, or a religious leader. The father wanted his son to be king, so tried to raise him to be one.
Can you help me sir?
Siddhartha was raised in wealth and luxury, and was protected by an umbrella that protected him from heat, dust, or leaves. He was protected from everything unpleasant so when he went out on rides, guards would go ahead and make sure no sick or homeless people were on the streets.
Siddhartha decided to sneak out once and saw 4 people, known as the four passing sights. These four people were an old man with a stick, a man shrunken by disease, a dead man with his grieving family, and a holy man. After seeing this, Siddhartha wanted to look for the truth about life, suffering, and death.
He began his search for truth by only eating from his begging bowl, his only possession. He also slept in the shelter of a tree or a cave.He turned to the gurus to understand the point of living. He later joined the ascetics, and went down the path of self-denial, but later abandoned them.
Siddhartha sat meditating under a fig tree for 49 days, and was pelted with rocks by the god Mara. Soon, he found the truth and achieved perfect enlightenment.
Once the Buddha freed himself from the cycle of life and death, he traveled across India, spreading his teachings of truth and hope.
