First Battle of Bull Run (July 21, 1861) was known more as the as the First Battle of Manassas. Both sides had around 18,000 troops. Of course since it was the first, their troops were very poorly trained and skilled.
The Shiloh battle was fought throughout the time period of (April 6-7, 1862) in southwestern Tennessee. This place was also near the west bank of the Tennessee River which gave the other side a great opportunity to attack.
Antietam or the Battle of Sharpsburg (September 17, 1862) or also known as the battle of Antietam was another battle about the American Civil War. Out of these different Wars this was near the Southern part of the United States.
