Storyboard Text
- Cherry is now our spy.
- Let's go back.. I want to turn myself in.
- Is that a fire at the church?!
- Dally had told PonyBoy and Johnny how Cherry the soc had became their spy. This even happened on pages 92-93. Dally's exact words from the text were "Hey, I didn't tell you we got us a spy--- " That good-lookin' broad I tried to pick up that night you killed the Soc. THe redhead, Cherry what's-her-name." (Hinton 92).
- This was because of us.. the gun we had left here must have exploded..
- Johnny had started to feel bad for involving Ponyboy and Dally into his mess/crime. So Johnny decided he wanted to go back and turn himself in at the police station.
- As Dally was driving Ponyboy and Johnny noticed that there was smoke coming from the church and realized that the church was on fire they hastily got out the car and to the church.
- Oh Ponyboy.. you had me worried sick!
- Ponyboy and Johnny eluded the kids that were trapped in the fire. Snap, crack, sizzle, went the building. The building was starting to fall apart. When the looked at the floor they saw the gun and thought that they were the reason the fire had started.
- Boom! A plank had hit Johnny in the back of the head and he was out cold. Ponyboy was able to escape but Dally had knocked Ponyboy out cold. Dally's hands were like rocks from how easily they had knocked out Ponyboy.
- Johnny, Ponyboy and Dally were in the hospital. Ponyboy's throat was dry from being in the heat. Darry came in the hospital and saw Ponyboy. Then they both started crying and hugged each other. Darry missed Ponyboy like how a mother bear would miss her cub.
