The snake rose up and began to wrap himself around the fisherman, very tightly. The fisherman saw the otter and knew he was sent from Jaci to help him. And so, he simply waited for the otter to come.
The otter tried to remove the snake, but his grip was too strong. Meanwhile, the man was panicking and flailing his arms around uselessly.
I can't do it alone!
The otter told the man that he couldn't just rely on help from others, he had to take action and help himself if he wanted to be saved. The fisherman took the otters words to heart and began to pull the snake off of himself!
OK I'll do it!
With the combined strength of the otter and the fisherman, the snake was thrown across the river and they were safe! The snake, knowing his plot had been foiled, slithered away to stir up trouble somewhere else.
The fisherman finished his daily fishing, feeding the otter as thanks for his help. Because he took his life into his own hands, he was able to make it home for dinner!
