Hello! Welcome to your first day on the job. I wanted to start your first shift off by giving you a proper orientation.
Sweet thanks!!
Over there is an example of an employee who isn't doing their job properly. While on the job you should never be distracted on your phone and it should only be used for emergency purposes. You should also never sit on stacked boxes because they could be unstable and dangerous. So *ahem* Susan...
oops sorry! I promise this won't happen again.
Firstly, welcome to the box unloading doc.
Next, this is where we check to make sure all of our boxes are closed properly.
Thank you! We train our employees to keep an organised workspace to avoid things from falling and possible hazards.
This tool desk looks super organised! Everything seems very accessible.
This is the end of the belt that leads into our final room. It should always be supervised while in operation to make sure the boxes don't fall off or get stuck.
That is an emergency stop button. Incase something goes wrong or the machine begins going out of control do not hesitate to push the button.
Ooh what is that red button for? It looks very tempting to push.
These hard hats are to protect us from the rare chance a small box may fall from the top shelf. They are mandetory in this room, even if you are just walking through. As you can see our employee is wearing his proper PPE, personal protectiveequipment, and is operating the forklift with care and caution. The main rule with our forklifts are to never leave them unattended while they are on. Great work Joe!
Why are we wearing these hats?
Our final location is the shelving unit.
I want to end by saying safety is our biggest priority in our company and we want to be certain every employee knows the hazards and are properly trained. That concludes your orientation! Any questions?
Perfect! See you next week!
Not at all. This has been the most informational orientation I have ever been given and I am super excited to start next week!
