Casey is a fifteen-year-old girl who has a really 'good' life, she is popular at school, has perfect grades, and is the class president. She feels bogged down with schoolwork but doesn't want to show it because when she does, she gets ignored and pushed away.
Casey begins to really struggle with anxiety about school and insecurity about her appearance, but no one listens when she complains about it because she is "perfect". She tries to talk to her friends about it but they don't listen, and her parents feel like she is being ungrateful when she tries to talk to them. She feels a lot of pressure to be perfect.
Casey walks into calculus and remembers her test that she forgot to study for because of her other commitments, she begins to feel nervous for her test and starts sweating. She asks the teacher to go to the bathroom.
She passes people in the hallway and tries to avoid eye contact. She doesn't want to give up her reputation. She feels the weight of the world on her shoulders and can't think straight or breathe, when someone stops her to ask about a class board meeting. Her vision gets blurry and she runs away from them.
Casey runs into the bathroom and a teacher follows. The teacher asks if she's okay and when she can't find the words to answer, the teacher realizes she is having a panic attack.
The teacher helps Casey calm down and calls her parents, who realize that they should have listened to her before and gotten her help. They decide to go see a doctor and find her help.
