  • Great Britain's War Debt
  • Stamp Act
  • Protest of the Stamp Act 
  • After Great Britain defeated the French and Indians (French & Indian War) and gained control of the Ohio River Valley territory, the King of England and Parliament realized they needed to gain back money to pay for the cost of the war.  They decided to tax American Colonists and felt it was their duty to help pay for the war costs since British soldiers protected them during this time. 
  • King George the third and Parliament
  • The Stamp Act was when colonist were taxed on paper products and had to buy a stamp (Pay a tax). Some of the examples are: Legal Documents, newspapers,and playing cards.
  • 
  •  The protest of the Stamp Act was when Colonists were angry with Great Britain and were in protest to get the Stamp Act repealed (cancel it).
