He is deaf! Maybe I don´t have to practice as much.
Well she certainly tried.
That was horrible.

I WISH I WAS DEAD, IKE THEM!!
Jing-mei starts to take piano lessons from Mr. Chong. And she realizes he is deaf and his eyes can't keep up with her playing the wrong notes. So she decides she wants to practice as less as she can.
Jing-mei does a talent show at a church and she does horrible, she keeps messing up. At the end no one clapped for her except Mr Chong of course. When they were heading home it was silent. Her mom didn´t yell at her or anything.
It was four o'clock and Jing-mei´s mom told her to start piano practice. Jing-mei did not want to practice after her talent show. Her mom got very mad and they started fighting. Jing-mei started to ball! ¨I wish I were dead like them!" She yelled. ¨them¨ referring to her mom´s children who died back in China.
On Jing-mei´s 13th Birthday her mom asked if she wanted the piano. Jing-mei said she did not want it. Every time she saw the piano she thought of it as something she won back from her mom.
Jing-mei decided to take the piano when her mom was dead. She saw the next page, the song was called Perfectly Contented. She decided to play it. It was a little faster than Pleading Child and she liked it.
