It started with Siddhartha Gautama and he would either become the emperor of India or a very holy man. His father was a king. Siddhartha was kept inside the palace because his father did't want him to see the suffering from outside.
One day when Siddhartha was an adult, he went out of the palace and saw a very old man. Siddhartha didn't understand what was going on, then the carriage driver told him that everyone get old.
He continued walking and he saw a sick man, a dead person, and a person who doesn't own anything. The driver explained that he is ascetic and that people like him do not want to be afraid of suffering of death.
One night he sat under a tree and was trying to calm his mind. He then understood why people suffer and decided to become a Buddha.
He started teaching other people and women joined too. There was only thing that was important to them and it was the desire to reach enlightenment.
For the rest of his life he wanted to help people be enlightened because he believed in peace. He died at 80 years old Buddha had an affect on many things like book, religion, and ideas around the world.
