One day on the Island of Crete lived King Minos and his Queen.
In the villages of Crete, they worshipped the bull-god of Zeus, Poseidon grew jealous as Crete is an Island. So he sent a white bull to be sacrifice in his honor, but the queen grew fond of the bull so Poseidon made the bull go mad.
Poseidon curses the queen and makes her give birth to a Minotaur. Minos has a labyrinth under the castle constructed to the Minotaur does not harm anyone.
The Minotaur only ate human flesh, so Minos wagered war against neighboring regions and had Athens sent 14 young Athenians to be sacrificed to the Minotaur every 9 years. If this did not happen the Minos would destroy Athens.
For 20 years this happened until Aegean son Theseus lifted the boulder that had the sword and golden sandals to prove him worthy of fighting the Minotaur.
Before Theseus went to Crete to fight the Minotaur he talked to his father telling him to turn the sails to be white on his way back, so his father knew he survived.
