Eli is on his way to his Whitehill school for boys and his parents are excited for him to enroll. He is destined to be in this school as it has ran in his family. His mom is very giddy and excited while his dad is staying formal.
His parents are ready to go to orientation, but there is one problem. On the entrance test he failed and didn't tell his parents. Eli is very worried on what is to come once they go to the orientation.
His parents and him walk into the orientation and Eli is still scared. His father is talking to all the other parents of boys who got accepted into Whitehill. Eli knows his lie won't be going on for much longer so he takes off.
His father starts talking to the headmaster about the school. It came up in conversation that Eli was not accepted into the school. His father can't believe it and tries to sweet talk the school board. That fails, and he goes into shock that his son was not accepted into the school.
Eli's mom goes and finds Eli and tells him everything will be alright. He is still scared that his father will be upset. He thinks this because he was "destined" to go to the school.
Eli's father comes out and is mad. The only thing is he is mad at the school and the people that work there. He also feels embarrassed and knows that he will not show his face in that school for a long time. Eli feels relieved after telling the lie and no one is mad at him
