  • On behalf of the King, the clonies will now be taxed every time a purchase is made
  • Colonist groups meet
  • The British needed money after the French and Indian war, so they looked towards the colonies for money
  • Protest
  • Charge!!
  • The British created these different acts, that taxed the colonist, for example the Sugar Act, and the Stamp Act
  • American Revolutionary War begins
  • The colonies had enough of the taxing and they were devising ways to resist the British
  • Declaration of Independence is signed 
  • The colonist started to protest against the British which led to different events like the Boston Massacre
  • The colonists protesting eventually led up to the Revolutionary War, between the colonist and Great Britain
  • After the colonist won the Revolutionary War the Declaration of Independence was signed, declaring the colonies independence from Great Britain
