The French Revolution was a very important time in the world history. Here are some stuff that happened.
Before the French Revolution, France had many issues and problems, many of them leading to deaths. France was dirty, there was people’s waste on the street, dead bodies everywhere, and dirty animals running around. Even the castle had animals running around. The third estate had to pay the taxes even though they didn’t have much money. From all of these issues and problems, people have had enough. The third estate protested for their rights.

In 1789, the King Louis XVI called a meeting of the Estates General. It was the first meeting of the Estates General called since 1614. He called the meeting because the French government was having financial problems.

On 20 June 1789, the members of the French Third Estate, who had begun to call themselves the National Assembly, took the Tennis Court Oath vowing "not to separate, and to reassemble wherever circumstances require, until the constitution of the kingdom is established
