  • Introduction
  • The british did many things to lead to the revolutionary war. The colonists were very angry by many things that the british did. There were many acts that led to the revolutionary war but here are four of the acts.
  • Sugar Act 1764
  • Stop smuggling our sugar you colonists!
  • We will never pay your taxes!
  • Stamp Act 1765
  • This isn't fair! 
  • You must pay your taxes or there will be consequences!
  • We refuse to pay these stupid taxes!
  • 
  • Boston Massacre 1770
  • Fire if you dare you lobsterbacks!
  • FIRE!!!
  • The colonists were upset about the taxes they had to pay. They were also upset that the king taxed the colonies without their consent
  • Boston Tea Party 1773
  • We will not pay these taxes!
  • We hate this tea!
  • All of the colonists were mad because they thought the British Parliament shouldn't have the right to tax them. The colonists believed that the only people that should tax them should be their own legislature. They wanted them to take back the law to pay taxes on stamps.
  • In Conclusion...
  • As you can see the british did many things that made the colonists angry and led to the revolutionary war. The british taxed many things that made the colonists not want to buy them. One of the biggest things that made the colonists angry was the boston massacre. This was a big event that led to the war.
  • Word of the massacre spreads to every colony showing the british are willing to kill their own citizens.
  • The Colonists were angry that the british put taxes on the tea. They refused to pay the taxes
