By the order of King George lll colonist aren't allowed to settle west of the Appalachian mountains.
That doesn't make sense. Why should we follow his rules anyways?!
Yes your honor.
Due to the French and Indian war our economy has started to decline. We will now start taxing by sugar on the colonies.
Sugar Act - 1764
Splendid Ideamy King.
Hear Ye! The King was yet again imposed taxes on the colonies this time it is on papers.
NO TAXITION WITHOUT REPERSENTTION !!!
With all these taxes how am I going to feed my family.
Well we don't want to buy any of your goods anyway so just keep on taxing us.
EXCUSE ME!, WHERE ARE YOUR MANNERS?!!
The Proclamation of 1763 forbade the colonist from settling in west of the Appalachian mountains. Britain issued this law in order to prevent conflict between the Native Americans and the Indians. The colonist however taught it was unjust so they settled on the Natives land anyway.
Could you please reframe from talking like that in our house.
The Sugar Act was used to gain money for Great Britain by taxing the colonist on sugar. This act was passed down by the English parliament and colonist were angry about this because they didn't want to be taxed.
STOP SHOOTING THIS INSTANCE THAT AN ORDER!!!!
SHOOT ALREADY WHY DON'T YOU FIRE AT US!!
Another one of Britain's greedy plots was the stamp act. This new act imposed that colonists had to pay a tax for every piece of paper they used. Since the colonist were already upset about the last act, this caused an uprising in the colonies which led to the formation of groups such as the Sons of Liberty and angry mobs.
Boston Tea Party-1773
Throw overboardall 342 crates.
WE ARE DONE PAYINGTAXES
To keep control in the American colonies, British sent out troops to protect the colonies from the American Indians. In expense for protecting them from the Indians, homes were expected to offer quarters to the British soldiers. The colonists resented and opposed the Quartering act because it made them pay taxes for the army.
You over there go give me some food, something to drink, new clothes and while your at it give me the best room in this house and clean my clothing.
On March 5th 1770 a deadly protest between the British soldiers and the colonist unfolded. The aftermath was 5 dead and 6 wounded the first causality being an African American named Crispus Attucks who was apart of the Sons of Liberty.
Thinking that the British would've learned they're lesson from what transpired 3 years ago in Boston would be a laughing statement because in 1773 the British parliament created a new act called the tea act which taxed tea. The colonist were furious that they decided to sneak onboard a ship delivering tea to the colonies and dump all of it into the sea.
