The French and Indian War started because England wanted to move West of the colonies while France wanted to move Southeast into the colonies. This caused a conflict and a fight over land. Most of the Native Americans took the French's side because the French were nice to the Natives, unlike the English.
The Proclamation Of 1763 stated that the anyone living in colonies could not move past an imaginary line along the crest of the Appalachian mountain. If anyone already did live there they were to remove themselves immediately. Of course, this greatly angered the colonists.
I've got it, let's call it the Proclamation of 1763
The Boston Massacre happened when soldiers were rioting against the Redcoats. They were throwing rocks and hurling insults at the Redcoats when suddenly when of the soldiers panicked and fired into the crowd. When the smoke cleared 5 were dead.
No not Crispus, Nooo.
After England removed all the taxes but the tax on tea the colonists were happy at first but then it changed. The colonists weren't mad about, but they were mad about the fact that they were being taxed without representation. This caused the Boston Tea Party(Shown Here). During The Boston Tea Party, the colonists dressed up as Indians and boarded a ship holding 4 million dollars worth of tea and threw it all off.
There is no way that they'll keep taxing us after this.
These were known as the Intolerable Acts. They known as the Intolerable Acts because they were so ludicrous that the colonists thought that no one was expected to follow them. These acts stated that no ship was allowed to enter or leave the Boston port, that they would not be allowed to hold any town without England's permission, that any British who committed a major crime in the colonies was to be tried in England so they had a better chance at being proven not guilty, and lastly the acts stated that colonists had to house British when no other housing was available.
That'll teach them not to mess with us.
The Battle at Lexington and Concord was the very battle that started the American Revolution. At night one day, the British were marching to the colonists' weapons store when the minutemen met them. For a while everyone was silent no one moved until, suddenly, someone fired a shot. They don't know who did it or which side they were on. That shot was called "The Shot That Was Heard Around The World".
