I heard the sirens roar everyone knew it was only seconds away from coming everybody is outside. The president of the United States of America had claimed that there was going to be a huge meteoroid shower hitting the world and destroying everything in its path. A lot of people started running, everyone was scared. There wouldn't be more human beings existing in this world. Most people went to local stores to buy resources, many thought they had a chance to survive. A lot of people were hiding in their basements thinking that the hard brick buildings would protect them.
Most people went to local stores to buy resources, many thought they had a chance to survive and if they did, they would have enough food to keep them alive for a while. A lot of people were hiding in their basements thinking that the hard brick buildings would protect them. At this point there wasn't much to do, only wait and wait and wait. I remember hearing the crying of a mother, knowing that this might be the last time she would see her children and husband.
My family and I we're in the basement doing the same. Everything was quiet, no one talked. We only waited for the time. Nobody knew when it would come, but we were sure it would happen because we believed in what was told. I remember my mom hugging me hard and tight, I watched closely as I saw her tears fall to the ground.
Then it started, what many people were afraid of was here. My mom grabbed me tightly, I look outside of the window. Huge massive fiery rocks were falling from the sky, it felt like a dream. People screaming, kids crying, moms trying to find their children, dads worried about their family it was all horrific. The smoke detector starts yelling, my mom tells me to wait in my spot and whatever happens to stay still. I remember her words, “ I love you”. I gave her one last hug, my heart fell apart as I saw her go. I didn't know if she would come back and I didn't know why she was leaving.
A while past 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, minutes past and Mom didn't come back. Out of a sudden something crashes against the side of the house and makes a huge hole. It was a meteoroid, it was burning the second floor of the house and everything was tearing apart. What I called home was being destroyed in seconds. The the fire was so big that it was reaching the basement and the fire was expanding all through the house. There was smoke all over me and all around me.
I heard footsteps upstairs and the only word that came to my mind was “Mom”. The sound of the footsteps were getting louder and louder every second and more clear to hear. All I remember is seeing a tall figure wearing bright yellow. He took me to his arms and quickly ran outside with me. While going upstairs, I saw mom laying on the ground with a fire extinguisher on her hand. Her body was covered with ashes and she had massive burns on her lower body and part of her stomach. Then I quickly realized the woman that had loved me through all my life and always been there with me was gone and no longer with me…...
