Me and my friends are picking up trash around Cerritos because in high school we want to start a Beautify Cerritos Club.
Managing my Time
I'm starting on my history project that is due in a week because I know if I don't start now, I'll probably start procrastinating.
Getting Out of my Comfort Zone
I'm practicing my basketball skills so next time that I try out, I have a better chance of making the team.
Instead of waiting until highschool to start volunteering and helping others, I could start now. This is so that when i do get to highschool, I am more experienced at what I volunteer for and could maybe start my own club for it. If I do eventually make my own club in highschool, I could put it on my college resume and that would show leadership skill.
I should plan what time I should do certain things like homework or projects. I will start doing them the day they were assigned and not wait until the night before it's due to start. In my mind, when I plan what time I want to start working on something, it makes the thing official and I won't keep on pushing it to the last minute. This skill will also help me with college.
One thing that I am worried about on my college resume is that I won't have any sports on it. To change this, I should get out of my comfort zone and try out for more sports in school. One reason that I am afraid to do this is that last school year, I tried out for all the sports and didn't make any of the teams. This stopped me from wanting to play any of the sports again. But then I realized that I could only grow if I kept on practicing the sport.
