Cece and Blake had met in High School, instantly they thought that they were in love and shared their dream of starting a nuclear family together.
Cece and Blake decided to live nowhere near their family. They wanted it to be their choice. This is called Neolocality
Now in College, Cece and Blake thought about having a delayed marriage for the sake of their career but they decided that they couldn't wait.
Now in a monogamous mariage, Cece and Blake were living their best life and content.
Blake, however, couldn't deal with the pressures of being in a Sandwich generation. So eventually he left Cece and their children.
Cece became the Matriarch of her family ever since Blake had left, but eventually, she got a new husband named Royce.
