An endangered species is any species that is at risk of extinction due to a sudden decline in its population. An animal officially becomes endangered once its population experiences a 50-70% decline in the span of 10 years or when only 2500 adult individuals remain.

Disturbing the balance not only harms other wildlife within the community but it also affects humans.
